KBH is a Kansas Medicaid Program. Everyone with a State of Kansas Medicaid Card who is 20 years of age and younger is enrolled in the KBH program. The KBH screenings follow the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule.

Lead can harm pregnant women and their unborn child. It can cause brain damage and result in speech, learning and behavioral problems. Small children are at high risk for lead poisoning since they often put items into their mouth. Lead poisoned children do not look sick. Testing is the only way to know.
