Transfer Station Operator

Full-Time and Part-Time

This employee works with citizens and governmental entities regarding solid waste management; assists the public with inquiries regarding the transfer station and landfill operations; assures all equipment and machinery is kept in operating condition; weighs, inspects, and records all loads of solid waste prior to disposal; assesses charges and issues receipts; loads recycling trailer; and sorts and hauls aluminum materials to local recycling center among other duties. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must have a valid class "A" CDL license or be willing to acquire one.

Dispatcher

Emergency Communications - Part-Time

The Lincoln County Sheriff Department is accepting applications for a part-time dispatcher.

Applicant must be 18 or older and free of any felony or serious misdemeanors. Dispatch shifts include 12-hour shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends. Employee must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to multitask while working well under intense pressure and job related stress. Employee must treat all information seen and heard in their position as confidential information. 

Jailer

Full-Time

The Lincoln County Sheriff Department is accepting applicantions for a full-time jailer.

Applicants must be 21 or older with a valid Driver's License. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred. Employee must possess knowledge of crisis intervention, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to follow directions accurately. Employee must treat all information seen and heard in their position as confidential information. 

Deputy

Full-Time

The Lincoln County Sheriff Department is accepting applications for a full-time deputy.

This employee provides citizen assistance, enforces all federal, state, and local laws, and performs patrol duties in all areas of Lincoln County. One to three years of similar experience is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required. This position requires graduation from Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, 40 hours of continuing education annually, and possession of a valid Kansas Driver's License. 

EMT, AEMT, PARAMEDIC

EMS Department - Full-Time or Part-Time

The Lincoln County EMS Department is accepting applications to fill EMT and AEMT positions. 

This employee is responsible for providing emergency medical treatment in a pre-hospital setting and basic life support to the sick and injured within the established scope of practice as defined by the approved department protocols. This employee should be able to respond and operate an ambulance and basic life supoport equipment calmly in emergency situations. Applicants must possess a valid Kansas driver's license and current Kansas EMT or higher certification.
