The following is a list of benefits for full-time and part-time employees.
Full-Time Employees
- Longevity Pay – After 5 years of continued employment
- Annual Boot Allowance - Law Enforcement
- Uniforms & Equipment Provided - Law Enforcement and EMS employees
- Health/Dental/Prescription Coverage
- Monthly cost to the employee is based on the plan option
- Employees are eligible to receive a premium reduction of $20/month on the cost of their health insurance premium by participating in the Lincoln County Wellness Program through Priority Wellness.
- Short Term Disability Insurance- Paid by Lincoln County
- KPERS retirement program – Member from first day of employment
- 6% contribution rate – for all employees
- Life insurance equal to 1 1/2 times annual salary from first day of employment
- 12 hours of Leave accrued monthly (144 hours annually) - must complete 6 months of employment prior to using
- 4 hours of Extended Illness Leave accrued monthly (48 hours annually) - must complete 6 months of employment prior to using
- Holidays - Ten holidays are recognized by the Lincoln County each year

Part-Time Employees

- 6% contribution rate – for all employees

*Part-Time Employee's Cost share is higher than that of a full-time employee

Human Resources/Employment Opportunities
Highway Department
Equipment Operator - Full-Time
Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Operator. Knowledge of mechanics, welding, measuring, and working knowledge of mathematics is beneficial to this position. The ability to operate loaders, dozers, mowers, motor graders, trucks, and other heavy equipment is preferred. A thorough knowledge of the physical layout of Lincoln County is required. This employee should have good organizational, public relations, and oral and written communication skills. This employee needs to be able to adapt to changing technology. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must have a valid class "A" CDL license with manual transmission or be willing to acquire one.
EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or RN
This position will work as needed. Applicants must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license and current Kansas EMT or higher certification. Applicants should be highly motivated and work well under pressure.
